Artist’s Statement: This original oil painting measures 14×18″ and is painted on stretched 1″ canvas.

According to the Book of Enoch, a group of Angels referred to as The Watchers, descended to Earth and became infatuated with human women. These Angels were heavenly beings who were assigned to observe and guard humanity. However, they disregarded their divine duties and lusted after mortal women.

The Watchers made a pact to take on physician forms, and cohabitate with humans. As a result, offspring were produced called Nephilim.

Furthermore, the Watchers are said to have imparted forbidden knowledge and secrets to humankind. They taught various arts, sciences, and mystical practices, including the secrets of heaven and heavenly technologies. This knowledge was considered highly advanced and beyond what was permissible for humans to possess.
